The 12 Homeopathic Tissue salts
Home/Blog / Tissue Salts
The homeopathic tissue salts (also called cell salts or Schuessler salts) are similar to homeopathic remedies but the potency is very low, making them act more on the nutritional side with very gentle action.
The 12 homeopathic tissue salts are made from the main 12 minerals that are found in our body and are essential to our life. Each of these minerals has an affinity to certain tissues and organs and the lack or imbalance in the metabolism of these salts can cause discomfort and diseases.
A big problem in the 21st century is that a lot of people don’t absorb properly these nutrients from the food they eat or from the supplements they take. The tissue salts correct these imbalances and help the body absorb the nutrients and use them properly.
They are safe for everyone, with no side effects. They are extremely useful in pregnancy, breastfeeding, for babies, children and elderly and also for people that are very sensitive and can’t eat certain foods or take a lot of supplements.
Generally it’s recommended to take 1 pill (or as many as indicated on the bottle) 2-4 times a day for 1-2 months or more if needed. But in situations when you need a boost you can take tissue salts 4 to 8 times a day for 2-3 weeks. You can put the little pills in a glass with clean water and sip from it throughout the day. For example when your blood tests show very low iron level and you need a boost. Stop taking them when you feel you don’t need them anymore (symptoms improve and blood tests show healthy levels) and start again when you need to. You can lower the dose to a ‘maintenance dose’ 1 pill once or twice a day.
You can mix and match the tissue salts that you think you need.
